# LivingMeta > A research synthesis platform that turns scholarly literature into structured, citable, gap-aware understanding. Built for academic researchers, PhD students, research groups, policy researchers, advocacy researchers, and foundation-funded teams. LivingMeta integrates four working surfaces per research field: - **Papers**: a continuously screened corpus, classified by relevance, with multi-perspective AI extraction. Every claim cites the source paper verbatim. - **Resources**: datasets, validated questionnaires, code repositories, APIs, and measurement instruments surfaced from across the corpus and FAIR-scored. - **Agenda**: a Priority Research Agenda derived from the "further research" sentences in the corpus, scored on frequency, impact, feasibility, recency, and coverage. - **The Lab**: a forum-like research space where users converse with an AI agent grounded in the field's own corpus. Role-adaptive coaching (layperson, junior, senior, supervisor). LivingMeta is **not** a general open-government search engine (use opub.nl, 1848.nl, openstate.eu for that). It is **not** a literature search engine (OpenAlex, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar serve that role; LivingMeta uses OpenAlex as its collection layer and adds what it does not provide). It is **not** a chatbot wrapper: the Lab agent's edge is its grounding in the corpus and its citation discipline. ## Pages - [Homepage](https://livingmeta.ai/): the pain-first overview, the four working surfaces, the "professional middle" positioning, an example Priority Research Agenda item, the nine featured fields, the foundation paper, and the request form. - [How it works](https://livingmeta.ai/how-it-works): the pipeline in seven sections: sources, screening, multi-perspective extraction, resources, gaps, the Lab, and what we are not. Plus open-data principles. - [Demo](https://livingmeta.ai/demo): five side-by-side comparisons across five live instances. A vanilla LLM answer (illustrative, with typical failure modes annotated) vs a LivingMeta-grounded answer (representative of the live instance, annotated with the USP it demonstrates). Each scene links to the live instance. - [FAQ](https://livingmeta.ai/faq): twelve questions grouped by underlying concern (workflow / trust / who-is-it-for / ownership). - [Contact](https://livingmeta.ai/contact): three paths: new instance request, existing-instance support, anything else. ## Agent-readable endpoints - [agent.json](https://livingmeta.ai/api/agent.json): imperative workflow for AI agents arriving to evaluate LivingMeta for a researcher. - [sitemap.xml](https://livingmeta.ai/sitemap.xml): full URL list. - [JSON-LD](https://livingmeta.ai/): Organization + WebSite + Service blocks in the root layout; FAQPage block on /faq. ## Featured fields (live instances) Each field has its own corpus, its own Priority Research Agenda, and its own Lab. The main site does not host these. They live on dedicated subdomains: - [sports-analytics.livingmeta.ai](https://sports-analytics.livingmeta.ai): RSM Erasmus, ~120K papers - [innovation-management.livingmeta.ai](https://innovation-management.livingmeta.ai): TU Delft, ~170K papers - [management-consulting.livingmeta.ai](https://management-consulting.livingmeta.ai): VU Amsterdam M&O, ~110K papers - [public-governance.livingmeta.ai](https://public-governance.livingmeta.ai): VU Amsterdam FSW, ~70K papers - [emergent-organizational-change.livingmeta.ai](https://emergent-organizational-change.livingmeta.ai): Open University NL, ~55K papers - [menstrual-health-work.livingmeta.ai](https://menstrual-health-work.livingmeta.ai): Period Media, ~130K papers - [anomalous-cognition.livingmeta.ai](https://anomalous-cognition.livingmeta.ai): Patrizio Tressoldi, University of Padova, ~22K papers - [non-ordinary-consciousness.livingmeta.ai](https://non-ordinary-consciousness.livingmeta.ai): Patrizio Tressoldi, University of Padova, ~14K papers - [lokaal-bestuur.livingmeta.ai](https://lokaal-bestuur.livingmeta.ai): commissioned by Zindering (zindering.nu), ~80K papers plus 4.7M Dutch council documents Live instances may require authentication to access non-public surfaces (Lab, paper detail). Each instance exposes its own `agent.json` at `/api/agent.json`. ## Foundation paper The methodology, validation, and architecture behind LivingMeta are described in the foundation paper, published open access on Zenodo (CC BY 4.0): Wolters, M.
